Then I replaced all the cables (sata, ide, floppy). I went to the BIOS to see if anything had changed. a direct quote from the mobo during bootup… “detect drives done, no any drives found” I rebooted and the puter didn't recognize either of the optical drives and the floppy drive didn't function. Out of nowhere I noticed that my hdd led and floppy led were solid on.
